Rationale

As the demands of the game continue to grow, the reported number of injuries are increasing, some more detrimental than others.

From the recent GPA data, 65% of GPA members reported to suffer injury in 2021. Of that, 38% were out of action for 5+ weeks.

Dealing with an injury can not only be physically taxing, but also mentally. We have seen first hand that having a better plan for your off-field career can assist greatly in recovery from injury, and support your wellbeing. The BEO360 programme has been developed specifically for GPA members, to empower inter-county players to realise the bigger picture beyond your sport.

To support your recovery, we would encourage players to reach out to one of our BEO 360 coaches, as well as engage with our counselling services when needed.
