McKvr has today been announced as the Exclusive Apparel Partner of the Gaelic Players Association (GPA).
The announcement was made at Croke Park, with Armagh LGFA’s Aimee Mackin, Dublin hurler Conor Burke, and Antrim camóg Róisín McCormick in attendance.
The GPA exists to support inter-county players across all codes, ensuring they have the support, opportunities, and investment to balance the huge demands of elite Gaelic Games to be at their best, on and off the pitch. As an Irish sportswear brand rooted in Gaelic Games, McKvr shares that commitment. This partnership reflects both organisations putting players first across all codes, regardless of team, tier, or gender.
Founded in Craigavon, Co. Armagh, McKvr has spent over two decades at the heart of Gaelic Games, partnering with county boards, clubs, and schools across the island of Ireland. Being named Exclusive Apparel Partner of the GPA represents a landmark moment for the brand and a natural next step in McKvr’s commitment to the players and games that have always been central to its identity.
Padraic McKeever, Managing Director, McKvr said; “The GPA does vital work for inter-county players across every code and every county in Ireland. At McKvr, we’ve always believed that supporting players goes beyond the pitch, and that’s exactly what the GPA stands for. We’re proud to be their Exclusive Apparel Partner and look forward to playing our part in supporting players across Gaelic Games.”
Tom Parsons, CEO, Gaelic Players Association said; “We have got to know McKvr over the last number of years particularly through our mutual involvement in the Plant the Planet Games tree planting trip to Africa. They have taken a keen interest in getting to understand the work the GPA is involved with for our members and it’s clear that they wish to support the welfare and development of inter-county players. That makes McKvr a great fit for us. (Pun very much intended).”
