It is with great sadness that the GPA learned of the death of Colm Regan over the weekend.

Colm was the co-ordinator of the GPA counselling service from its inception and a very good friend of players and the GPA and we would like to extend our deepest sympathies to his family.

Colm worked tirelessly for players during his time with the GPA assisting members when they were at their most vulnerable. Colm was always available, willing and able and was a vital person in the design of the essential counselling service we have available for all inter-county players (past and present) today.

Colm will be greatly missed by all who knew him and will be forever remembered by his family, friends and the GPA. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sé.
