Limerick stalwart Ollie Moran has announced his retirement from inter-county hurling after 12 years with the county's senior team.

Moran, who featured on the GPA Hurling Team of the Year in 2007, made his debut for Limerick back during the 1997 league when the county went on to land the title. He also won three county titles with his club Ahane.
